Marina has been on the air in the Seattle area since the early 90’s. Her very first radio station was in Silverdale, then a year later moved on to a station in Seattle that played music from well before she was born! After enjoying ‘Oldies’, she moved onto KOMO Newsradio (now KNWN), where she was a reporter, traffic reporter and anchor. While at KOMO, she appeared on the Kent and Alan Morning show on STAR 101.5 for several years with Jen!
To sum it up, she’s been a disk jockey, morning show co-host, news anchor, reporter and even made a former U.S. President laugh.
Marina is a breast cancer survivor who regularly blogged about her experience and even came up with her “Month of Wigs” to deal with the loss of hair with humor and creativity. In an ironic twist, 10-days after summiting Mt. Rainier to raise money for Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Marina found out she had cancer. Little did she know she would become part of the community she fought so hard to help over the years.
Marina is married and has two grown children. Her German Shepherds, Murphy (Murph the Derp) and Lexi, keep her endlessly entertained.
She rides her motorcycle every chance she gets, enjoys running, hiking, travel, cooking, and watching her beloved Seahawks.
