Curt and Jen in the Morning on STAR 101.5 – weekday mornings 5 – 9
Curt Kruse: Coming from a musical family, the only job Curt ever wanted was to be a rock star… but a high school Career Personality Test leaned towards “funeral director.” So clearly… radio was the next best option. Curt started his radio career in college (Go Hawkeyes!) and bounced around stations in Dayton, Cincinnati and Detroit before landing at STAR 101.5. Since then, Curt has worked every DJ air shift at STAR 101.5 (mornings, middays, afternoons and evenings) at least once… which may be in the Guiness Book of World Records someday. Curt and his wife, Dana, live in Mill Creek with their dogs Dexter and Bella (he has unique voices for each dog – doesn’t everyone?). Curt enjoys playing guitar, boating, watching movies and is a massive consumer of stuff and things.
Jen Pirak (aka Super Jen): A Northwest native, Jen got her start on STAR 101.5 as an intern. But her true calling turned out to be that of Super Jen, Director of Fun and Games on the Kent and Alan Morning Show. A mom of two teenage daughters (Ryley and Macey) as well as a ‘mutt dog’ (Saylor), she does what she can to keep her ‘cool mom card.’ She lives in the north end and enjoys party planning/entertaining, creating memories with friends and family, boating/being on the water and most recently has found joy in riding the sand dunes in a side by side.
