Helicopter approaching the "location"

Possible rescue on Mt. Si

Last night, just after midnight we noticed a helicopter approaching the Southeast side of Mt. Si. He flew a number of approaches to a specific spot, about three quarters up the mountain, where a light could be seen. After a number of approcahes the helicopter turned on his search light and flew a number of approaches to the spot with the light. At times he hovered very close to the side of the mountain, but never seemed to lower any rescue basket or rescuers. Eventually he left the scene, leaving only the light on the mountain behind. This morning he returned around ten o'clock and this time he hovered for a few minutes each time he approached the spot. This is when I took my pictures. Again, there was no rescue basket visible. However, in daylight he closed in on the site to the point where he partially disappeared behind some of the rocks and trees. Pretty interesting flying. No idea what he was trying to do, but guess it was some sort of rescue effort.

My husband says it’s a rechargeable yard light about 10 minutes or less above the open rock slide on the Talis Loop Trail. He hiked up the small “goat path” leading to the area to see it, and he says that it’s not in a safe place to hike to.

The mysterious light continues to shine over the valley of the Middle fork of the Snoqualmie River each night near North Bend. It is now approaching one month and there remains no plausable explaination. What is going on?

there was not a call out last night for Search and Rescue, could have been a light seen in passing and they went to investigate on their own. was there any markings on the side of the helo? it would have been a sheriff helo if it was a search.

There are rescues on this, and many other popular mountains, more often than anyone realizes. They could have even been training.
