The Peninsula High School (Gig Harbor) marching band has been chosen to represent Washington state in The National Independence Day Parade in Washington DC. The PHS band is considered the "Pride Of Gig Harbor" because of the excellent musicians that their conductor and teacher has built then into. Only one high school marching band is invited to march in this parade from each state. It is a huge honor to be chosen for this parade. The students are leaving for DC this Wednesday, they are all exited and ready to show America what they've got. Everyone's support is appreciated.

I am so excited for all of you. I'll be watching for my niece Brianna Stone, in the band, and my sister Sharon Stone, one of the parent volunteers. Cheers from Boise, Idaho
