In honor of all law enforcement officers, you all go above and beyond the call of duty, wheather it's putting your life on the line or donating precious time for many charities. A heart felt thanks to all of you.

The award is for community service but votes can come from anywhere right? Why can't someone outside the state vote for the video they like the best for work they do in their community? Officer Rutt's work is commendable and I like his video best.

says ... on Saturday, May 15 at 12:02 AM
I have known Ted Rutt for many years he deserves to win this community award for the Special Olympics in OUR COMMUNTY. He has a love for all children not to mention all the citizens in his community, Princess, Spacecowboy BlkKnight and I supprt you!!
says ... on Friday, May 14 at 10:57 PM
And do YOU realize that this is a COMMUNITY award? If your organization raises $35 million 'globally' why interfere with a LOCAL award for $5 thousand? You should be ashamed not bragging about how Rutt's supporters have rigged a community award.
says ... on Friday, May 14 at 9:52 PM
Do you realize the Torch Run has over 80,000 law enforcement personnel that raise $35 million dollars across the globe? The Torch Run is a family... Ted has THOUSANDS of supporters. When we back someone, we back them 150%! Keep it up, TED!
says ... on Friday, May 14 at 8:53 PM
THANK YOU OFFICER RUTT! YOU ARE A GOOD MAN WITH A GREAT STORY AND AN AWESOME FILM TO SHOW IT OFF.

says ... on Friday, May 14 at 11:10 AM
HEY EVERYBODY...I say support the person you want to win vote the way you feel good about and leave the negative attacking battle of the hurtful words out of it. Good luck!!!

says ... on Friday, May 14 at 11:04 AM
See you at the next convoy. Your video is great. Thank you sir for your kind heart. We love what you do for the kids.
says ... on Friday, May 14 at 10:44 AM
This is what i said ages ago. This is about a cause and the ways this benefits a cause has NOTHING to do with the people. attacking someone over money is asinine
says ... on Friday, May 14 at 10:42 AM
Victoria, her parents and Ted Rutt are all classy, intelligent and straight-up people. Congratulations to all of you and keep doing the good work you are doing.
says ... on Friday, May 14 at 10:36 AM
Way to go Ted!!!
says ... on Friday, May 14 at 10:24 AM
nice way to save yourself from lying anonymous. Was gonna say it yesterday. That since nothing was said how did you know how to do. that's way more interesting fact
says ... on Friday, May 14 at 10:21 AM
We are pulling for you from Pullman
says ... on Friday, May 14 at 10:11 AM
Darth Vader & The Empire press on cheat voting.
says ... on Friday, May 14 at 10:10 AM
You are #1 we love you.
says ... on Friday, May 14 at 10:04 AM
Who is this anonymous what is he talking about? He sounds like a nut! Oh well officer Rutt keep on going don't let mean people get you down. We love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
says ... on Friday, May 14 at 9:57 AM
Your video is awesome.
says ... on Friday, May 14 at 9:33 AM
hmmm...Confessor changed her blog post re: how to cheat the voting. A little guilty conscience maybe? If it feels bad when you do it, it probably is bad. I think most cops would agree with that. Oh well, I'm done with this.
says ... on Friday, May 14 at 8:29 AM
Cool story bro
says ... on Friday, May 14 at 8:22 AM
Thiz What it iz ted. you are a classy guy

says ... on Friday, May 14 at 2:45 AM
Proud of the work you do, Dad.
says ... on Friday, May 14 at 1:25 AM
Wow... i'm so sorry that people are saying such horrible things. it's really sad to see that it is getting to this point. Keep up what you are doing. It's not about anyone else other than the special olympics. Good luck with everything
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 10:29 PM
Ted was my dare officer when i was younger and is one of the nicest people i have ever had the honor to know. I dont mind putting up fliars at my school to help such a great cause. My cousin is training to become a special olympic athlete..
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 10:26 PM
Its not hard to support such a great guy as ted. Plus it helps to be able to post such great charities and support our fellow law enforcement officers on our intranet to help rock the vote. Keep up the great work and dont ever change.
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 10:25 PM
If, as Mr. Rutts video claims, Wa S.O. raised over1/2 million dollars this past year then why do the Wa. S. O. supporters feel the need to cheat the system to win a pawltry $5 thousand? Just saying...
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 10:08 PM
Thank you. The focus is the charity nothing more. If you read thru your comments they were 100% positive until today. You and Victoria are doing what you do because you love the charity I wish you both luck. But my votes for you Officer Rutt.
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 10:00 PM
i wuv your VIDEO
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 7:32 PM
Hooray for you. I wish more people were like you! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you a million times over.
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 6:58 PM
Thank you for inspiring me, and for all your support of the special olympics.
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 6:47 PM
I did think about it for my friend, and I felt that it was wrong and not in the spirit of the poll. I wouldn't want to diminish their accomplishments by exploiting a glitch in the site. I blame KOMO for the fail, not the users finding it.
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 6:40 PM
Thank you sir for all you do. The world is a better place with you in it.
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 6:08 PM
Umm since that option is available for absolutely everyone. Then not it's not. Don't get on a high horse just because you didn't think of it for your friend.. Please note that it has everything to do with the fact that he is a city icon
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 5:58 PM
I did my research. I assume that what is going on is what is posted on your blog, specifically "you can vote more than once or all day long by deleting your recent browser history and reloading the contest page." Is this gaming the system, or not?
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 5:54 PM
We are all on your side officer Rutt. We are proud of you.
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 5:40 PM
shame on you for your comments about Special Olympics kids, Abbie, it shows that you are hateful and ignorant... it's too bad that no good dead goes unpunished...
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 5:31 PM
Wow I love how people don't do research and assume what is going on. Just because the votes are so high you assume it's auto votes. Not the fact that the video is sincere and makes most people cry for hope.
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 5:04 PM
Yeah Abbie, it's true. Automated voting.... Seems like a lovefest going on with these people. May be they should skip Hollywood and just get the Oscar.
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 4:40 PM
I heard about this @ work, but didn't think it was true: a police man screwing with a charity vote to get $ for the spec. oly. !! Sad, no wonder police have a bad reputation for honesty. FYI: Spec. Oly. kids are NOT homeless or starving. Sad.
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 4:30 PM
Ted, Keep up the good work. I am not sure who Bobby Joe is but sorry for his/her comments.I would ask Bobby Joe to apologize a refrain from commenting. Vic

says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 2:40 PM
Sir, you are my hero. I want tobe just like you when I grow up. I still think you would have been a very good Firefighter.
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 2:36 PM
Once negative jabs surfaced, more people turned out and exponentially influenced the vote. Negative actions breed a counter-balance in justice.
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 2:35 PM
Oh...did you rent the PD cars or were they used 'for training?' Curious how all these assets were pulled together.
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 2:31 PM
Are you kidding me? I can't believe there twenty thousand votes for this video by now! Go Ted, and go Special Olympics!
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 2:31 PM
I deeply aplogize for any negative comments made on my behalf!! Your video was amazing!! We are all in this for the same reason. Let's not forget that!! Keep up the good work!
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 2:29 PM
Wow "Scripter" you sure know a lot about cheating! is that how you are doing it? No cheating here, just showing officer Rutt some love for all his hard work!
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 2:08 PM
The video scores soared because i posted all the info on my site and on my public blog. Not for another reason other than them seeing the videos and choosing which is best to vote for.Which Ted is

says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 1:24 PM
Great video Officer Rutt! My twins are going to be in your DARE class next year, just like me only 17 years later.
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 1:21 PM
We who know you support you and know what a wonderful person you are to volunteer so much of your time, not to mention getting us to volunteer our time at your events. WA State Troopers are voting in full force today, tomorrow and until the 23rd.

Bobbly joe and company give nothing but a bad name for "Victoria". what a shame it turned to that. Ted, Special Olympics is a better place because of you. Thank you for all you've done in 25 years.
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 10:47 AM
Ted, no one knows you better than we do here at work. You are one of the best! Keep it up!
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 10:33 AM
Writing cruel and vicious comments on someone's site only hurts the person you think you are trying to support. Please keep the spirit of this contest, which is positivity and helping others.
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 10:31 AM
This contest is not about winning a scholarship. It is about encouraging others to volunteer and to help their communities. The money goes directly to the charity that these people are discussing.
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 10:21 AM
Do you really think Victoria is better? I didn't that impression from the mediocre one minute film that was made about her. Ted has helped thousands and deserves all the support his is getting!
says ... on Thursday, May 13 at 10:12 AM
hes a police officer! He proablly beat all of those little kids with his flash light. That one is wearing sunglasses to hide the black eye
