Today I saw a woodpecker in my backyard in West Seattle. I grabbed my camera and began snapping pictures from across the yard. I wanted to get a better shot so I kept creeping closer hoping not to spook it. I was amazed that the bird let me get within about 10 feet from it. This picture was taken from that distance with a 200 mm zoom.
