455 students attending the Pacific Northwest Junior State of America convention at the Hyatt this weekend held a flash mob on NE 8th and Bellevue Way on Saturday. They wore red shirts that said "Represent" on the front, and "We the People" on the back. The point of the flashmob was to combat political apathy and educate the community about the importance of getting involved.

Having lived through the '60s and complained over the years about too much apathy in this country, I have to say it is exciting to see the new generation standing up again!
