When it comes to music, we see solo artist as well as bands come and go like the rain in Seattle nine months out of the year
. Some bands start where no one knows them and they either play from bar to bar and never seem to make it to the next level. Or all of the sudden out of no where a band becomes a National Hit The Joshua Adams Band will be such a band.
I have followed this band for a few months and show after show I get more impressed with there songs and style at which they play on stage. I see and hear other clubs talking about this band and feel that it's just a matter of time before we hear about the Joshua Adams Band in the News like we did with Pearl Jam, Nervana, etc.
Joshua Adams is the lead guitar/vocalist of the band. A rather young looking man for being 30 and quite attractive as well. Behind the drums is Todd McGrady. His style is different from other drummers that I see, but his Hi-Hat work is estonishing and colorful, but it's a perfect fit for JAB (Joshua Adams Band) Steve Gillson plays the base guitar where he mixes pop/rock but at the same time can bring a little funk to the music. Mitch Sloan on Saxaphone brings a whole different personality to the band and the songs. Jon Preece is the keybardest who quite franky is awsome. His ability is hard to explain other than he can play anything with style.
JAB did just get out of the studio for their upcoming CD which will be released sometime after the first of the year. You can go to www.JoshuaAdamsBand.com to get more information on the CD and upcomming shows.
Until next time I'm keeping my distance from this band by not connecting with them as of yet because I want to keep this real and not tainted by friendships. I will continue to follow this band and look forward to the day when I can write "I told you so".
