National Alpaca Farm Days

Experience a bit of the country life, as 50 alpacas graze in green pastures, amidst white rail fences and a picturesque red-roofed barn. Watch new alpaca babies frolic in the field, and enjoy handfeeding gentle alpacas at the gate. Visit exhibits in the barn to learn what alpacas eat, and how their shorn fleece becomes yarn and sweaters. Talk with professional alpaca breeders Alise Schmitt and Ruthann McVicker and learn what it takes to raise your own alpacas.
