Picketing Evergreen Sales and Lease

Wednesday, August 26th, three determined women picketed Evergreen Sales and Lease in Federal Way and won. One of the women, Mary Bautista of Spanaway, had traded in a vehicle to Evergreen on July 1st with the agreement that it would be paid off. Well, it never was. After multiple phone calls with the dealership, she realized she was getting nowhere and decided it was time for more drastic measures. She called up her friends, and told them of her plans to picket Evergreen. When they started out Wednesday morning, they were less than sure of themselves. Many people had told them that they would surely fail. Well, within less than 15 minutes, the staff of Evergreen called Bautista in and offered to take her to the lienholder's local branch to pay off the trade-in. The women, in their success, would like to offer out a special thanks to the Armed Forces, who work everyday to protect our civil rights, which includes our freedom of speech. This was a perfect example of our First Amendment rights in action.

You people need to quit looking for a baby sitter and start taking care of your selves. HAVE THE CAR CHECKED OUT FIRST before you sign a contract. All car dealers will negotiate with you. It's part of the process of purchase.

they are great to work with when you want to buy a car, but once you have issues they ignor and pass you from person to person so that they dont have to deal with the issue.

I called them many time to try see about getting a different car, cause i had 60 days in my contract and they just tossed me from one person to the next. No one would give me a straight answer and they would never call me back. Will never refer.

I bought a car 4 months ago from evergreen and within a month i found out the struts, shocks, and cv-joint were all bad. Then the alternator went out. And the thermostat housing was cracked along, causing my car to overheat.

Anyone that trades in obviously knows nothing of auto business nor common sense a trade in is worth nothing on paper and is for lazy uneducated people who just don't know any better and are you unemployed or skipping high school to be on 99 mid week?

Evergreen does there best to buy and sell safe sound vehicles as a friend they have never sold a vehicle that their own children would not drive , or have driven it is the buyers job to research before purchasing, all 6 of my SUVs have had no issues

Same thing happened to me at Evergreen. I traded in a Honda in June they would not pay off my car, so I called "get Jessie" on King 5 news and they did a story on it. After the news story they finally paid off my trade in three months late.

This is a horrible dealership!! The 1st car we bought from them broke down within the 1st month. Then they replaced that car with another and the first day I bought it...it broke down. They are liars, and apparently don't care about their customers.

What is the matter with KOMO, thus guys spends thousands of dollars a month and not to mention with KOMO as well!!! Where is thier site of the story!! I have bought several cars from them and they are bunch of great guys!!!

Brian says ... on Sunday, Sep 6 at 6:34 PM

Whatever happened to journalism? I don't see the dealer's side in this article anywhere. KOMO should be ashamed of themselves for not getting the whole story. I happen to know this dealer, and this is not representative of their business practices.

Lori - Without the armed forces, the constitution is just a piece of paper.

H. E. Pennypacker says ... on Sunday, Aug 30 at 9:18 PM

Little Debbie - it's actually spelled FOX. And why is that the Enquirer is breaking more accurate stories than the MSM? Perhaps we should all be reading the Enquirer and watching FOX News. Regardless - good for those girls!

Debbie says ... on Saturday, Aug 29 at 11:21 AM

Getting your news from Fox is like reading it in the National Enquirer.

DebbieTT says ... on Saturday, Aug 29 at 11:19 AM

No wonder she's confused she listens to Faux News.

Lori says ... on Friday, Aug 28 at 1:17 PM

The Armed Forces don't protect our civil rights. The Constitution & the courts do.

Cheri says ... on Friday, Aug 28 at 4:03 AM

//Way to go girls!! Exercise those rights while Obama is slowly but surely trying to strip them away!! Find a 9/12 meeting in your area and take a stand. Google 9/12 meetings.
