Photo 5416 was just emailed to Poulsbo Fire Department at 4am this morning. It came from a neighbor in this community of homes provided by Kitsap County Housing Authority’s Habitat for Humanity, she said in her note:
“Thank you. We really appreciate all that you do. Please thank all the firefighters who came out to save our neighborhood. This is a sweat equity neighborhood of 29 homes. We all spent many painful hours working in the mud, snow, and rain to build that home from the ground up. It was hard for all of us to watch it burn. Your department worked long and hard, and we all thank our higher power you folks came so fast to help save our neighborhood. Our homes are still filled with smoke at this time of the morning, but we have our home to sleep in thanks to all of you and your hard work. “
