7/7/2009...celebrating a milestone...Hazel L. Brown, 100 year young! Hazel L. Brown was born 7/7/1909 on a N. Dakota farm. She attended school in Grand Forks, N. Dakota. Hazel worked at the University of North Dakota where the glider pilots used the campus for training during World War II. After the pilots left and the campus was opened to students, & Hazel remained employed for the university, managing in food services for 30 years until retirement in 1973. She has been a Washington resident since 1973 and is the elder of a five generation family living in King county.
