Social Network Terror?

Social Network Terror....allowed?

Having been a member of various social networks, what I was not prepared for was what I saw allowed on tagged.com. Profiles created from purported "Taliban" with photos showing dead U.S. and coalition soldiers. Many people and I reported these profiles over the course of the last 2 months. I reported them to the F.B.I. (
seattle.fbi@ic.fbi.gov ) and the "supposed" tagged "security" ( safetysquad@tagged.com ). It seemed that as soon as one profile was deleted, another one or two would be created. A seeming never ending cycle. I reported two profiles last week and sent multiple emails to the tagged site. What resulted was the deleting of not only the offensive profiles, but mine as well. I can only surmise that tagged.com would rather allow the offensive profiles, than the profiles of those that report them. The following link will take the user to the offensive profile and should only be used by the news crew to verify this posting...http://tagged.com/profile.html?uid=5425491945

NOTE: As of this posting, I have not been able to correspond with or contact Tagged.com CEO Greg Tseng.

The profile has since been deleted. I f tagged.com members, to locate offensive or the "terror" networks profiles, you need to "browse" for friends, and type in key words such as "taliban" or "dead western". Please help make tagged.com safer.

I cant belive that this isnt national news...and scary. Thanks for the report...I will be cancelling my profile with tagged.

Multiple profile sites exist and can be EASILY found using key words in a search. I myself have reported these sites, YET they still exist! I have contacted different organizations with NO comment back to the SERIOUSNESS of this matter...

while this was deleted another popped up they just keep coming, unless tagged and others block the ip.

i too seen this profile and immediately reported it. i dont know what kind of a-hole would place this kind of stuff on these sites. we have enough nasty stuff to deal with here in america. its bad enough our men and women have to deal with it.

Im another tagged user that had seen all of the profiles and reported them after I received requests to add these people as a friend, It is obvious that tighter profile screening is required to make tagged a safer place.--Australia

Im also another tagged member, Called FBI and my local stations and nothing has been done, theres like at least 3 more profiles like thatone & it sickens me

This should definatly not be allowed! Yes, tighter profile screening IS needed. What an outrage! Spread the news of this to help get the message out!

Is Tagged.com run by terrorists or other human destruction wacko's? Too bad the website doesn't want to pull the plug on postings that show killings of American servicemen. Give me a break! Thanks for protecting our soldiers/their families, rozmun 1.

I was shocked and sickened that this profile was able to *duplicate over and over*. I reported the offensive postings and I was not deleted, as a player, however I did not receive any communication from administration that they had solved the problem

Still no word from tagged.com! still NO support from local agencies! I've attempted contacting everyone down to Oprah... INTERNET PREDETORS are a threat but not TERRORISTS?? in my mind what is the difference?! an IP block is NOT that hard!

Darrin says ... on Friday, Jun 26 at 3:02 AM

It is unfathomable to me that this is still going on. Cleary the evidence of this monsters depravity is available every day. Why is no action being taken! Shame on all those who have to power to do something about this and have failed to act.

Michele says ... on Saturday, Jun 27 at 12:16 PM

If this isnt TERRORISTIC threatning, I dont know what is. For it seems as though the site is allowing new profiles by the same people that continue to do this....It really saddens me to see this happening.

Anonymous says ... on Sunday, Jun 28 at 8:14 PM

IP blocking is not hard... but the same way one is block another gets created.... just like we have the pets game... and groups band together to raise someone value... people can make a choice on who they allowed to be their friends. So Block them!

THE WARDEN says ... on Monday, Jun 29 at 1:16 AM

It's so easy to find this person and catch them. I believe we will do it. This is a crime.

Anonymous says ... on Monday, Jun 29 at 3:43 AM

why does tagged have such a thing even on here? if on the picture upload they say nothing nude, indeciant,or exposed... i would say why aren't they enforcing it? and this i find is indeciant..

which browser are you using??

Marine says ... on Wednesday, Jul 1 at 3:37 AM

What kind of comment is the last one? Browser? Tagged.com should be torn down and re-built by some compitent folks instead of Tseng or whoever is running it.

Pt. 1 Have any of you tried to view this profile, it's been removed. Honestly, does this journalist have nothing better to do with his time? Blocking IP's does nothing, they'll just move on to the next internet cafe and create another.

Anonymous says ... on Thursday, Jul 2 at 11:51 PM

Pt. 2 People do this stuff for the shock value of it. Just keep reporting it and I'm sure they'll remove it, since they somehow managed to remove the one you've noted in your article.

American soldier says ... on Wednesday, Jul 8 at 9:35 PM

Journalist or not, the article shows rampant idiocy of so called social networks and lack of security. If the previous "commentor" had anything better to do than bring up moot points...ie. The article states the profile has been removed...duh.

American soldier says ... on Wednesday, Jul 8 at 9:36 PM

Also, if it's just for "shock value" why delete them anyway? Certainly there are no children that view the site.... Anonymous needs to wake up or go home.

There are so many scammers on Tagged now It's unreal. They act like they are in the Uniteds States. Then they say they are working in United Kingdom Or Africa. Then after you start talking to them .They are Scammers asking for money. It is a shame
