May 17, 2009 these pictures were taken from a mobile phone camera. They capture a black disk shaped object that stayed in middle of the sun for over 2 hours this afternoon. We first noticed it and took a picture around 12:50 PM and the last picture was taken around 3 PM. Several times during this encounter we saw 3 military jets flying directly at the object which remained stationary. We also noticed another light nearby that you can see changed directions and always had a nearby halo. You can see the streak in the sky from the military jets that were flying in the area.
The photos were taken on Kent's East Hill. What military jets would spend the afternoon over Kent and Renton for and what a large black object would be doing staying stationary for over 2 hours is a mistery.
Following the sudden disappearance of the black object is when the rainbow around the sun appeared to us.

"As the world turns" the black object would have to speed to position exact N,S,E,W to align with the observer (center on the sun) ... the world is about 24,000 miles around ... equivalent to 1000 miles per hour ( 24 hours ) at the equator.

I find it odd that no one else reported this. You figure that if there was a black dot on the sun over Renton/Kent for 2 hours, some one else would have seen it!

maybe they were just hanging out in the sun , because that's the way they roll.

Shol'va, your comment about UFOlogy being a cult really showcases your profound ignorance quite elegantly.

Here we go with Government agents disputing every news article related to UFO: weather balloon, the cell phone camera had technical difficulties, the military jets are rain droplets, the disk shaped flying object moving at 10k/hr is Chinese lantern..

CCD bakeout, is a physical effect in that UFOlogists are certainly not interested. Neither UFOlogy, nor astrology are scientific disciplines (even if they try to increase their own credibility by some pseudoscientific actionisms. These are cults.

How about an experiment. Can you take some images of the sun at around the same time of day with that phone and posts those for comparison? It would be cool if we had a real time way to get ufo info to each other, as other could have seen it too.

We understand that a black image can sometimes appear when taking pictures with a camera. This object was visible to the eye when wearing sun glasses. What can explain it's sudden disappearance at around 3:10 in the afternoon? Why the military jets?

Think about this for a minute. Any object close enough for a plane to get to it and still be visible would only be between the sun and an observer in a small viewing area. If it was there for two hours, there was plenty of time to move around.

Indeed this black hole like image is a artifact from the CCD, NOT a UFO.

Black in center is called CCD bakeout. It happens at the center because the sensors catching the light overload.

The black dot is a common occurrence on cell phone cameras when you photograph the sun. I had a T-Mobile Sidekick that did this predictably. Boeing is also closeby which may account for the planes. Im a believer in ETs. But its important to be clear.
