te area, on a hilly dirt drive, one mile from a paved road. With the last several days of snow and freezing temperatures, we have accumulated at least 2 feet of snow! Several of the residents here have been unable to leave or drive back to their homes due to the snow and ice on the roads. On December 25th, Christmas Day, a downed tree took out a power line in our neighborhood. On Friday morning PUD crews were
working on repairing the main downed line. Unfortunately, we didn't notice that a line had come down in our yard. When power was restored to the neighborhood, we were still left in the dark. On Friday evening, after realizing the line was down, we called PUD. By Saturday morning we had two PUD workers - Jim and Keith - at our home to fix the downed line. They were riding snowmobiles, as the large bucket truck wasn't able to traverse the slick, steep, snow-covered road. Both men worked to fix our downed line, by having one of the men climb up the power pole and the other trimming a tree and helping reconnect the line.
We want to express our gratitude and a big THANK YOU to both Keith and Jim at PUD, for doing a great job, despite the challenges. We really appreciate your help!
