Christmas morn - 22 inches in Woodinville

Seriously Snowed In

The Grinch has declared no joy in east Woodinville. No Christmas family gathering, no power, no groceries. With 22 inches on the ground, no one is getting in - or out - of our neighborhood for Christmas. Even the online gifts are "delayed".

Power went out Christmas eve, so Christmas morning dawned cold and snowing. Instead of the happy chatter of a family gathering, we have the happy chatter of generators running. Instead of a big turkey dinner, we will dine on ravioli and vegetables from the freezer.

This year, we might have to follow the French custom, exchanging gifts on Jan 6th, the day of the Wise Men. Here's hoping there is still something left at the malls when we finally get out to do our gift shopping.

Not many others can get to malls. Not to worry. Be sure to note carbon monoxide levels if your generators are near the house. Merry Christmas and a joyous New Year. Happy Epiphany (Jan. 6th).
