These photographs were all taken at my place of employment. I work as the Activities Director/Photographer at Madison House Retirement in Kirkland. The first photo was one of my favorites. It is a a newborn baby's first Christmas! The other ones are of our recent snow fall. In the midst of cold and chaos comes quiet beauty in even the smallest of places.
This is why I call the photo's small miracles.
Often at this time of the year my life is filled with so much activity that I don't always take in the moments. The little things. I want to take in the singing of carols. I want to take in the big and small acts of kindness and be a part of creating them for others. I want to slow down to bake cookies. To not let this time pass me by in a blur.
So some of these photographs reflect those littlest moments and show that they can involve others and at other times...no one at all.
Merry Christmas!
