Over the several weeks we have had several humming birds at our three feeders and as the days started getting colder we started seeing less and less of them. Well there was this one particular humming bird who just didn't want to leave. So every day we would set out a new batch of nectar, as the container would freeze by the evening, and sure enough he would come around. In fact all three of our cats would sit at the window and watch him eat and it would not phase him. This must be one die hard rugged Northwestern humming bird who is set in his ways and is going to brave the winter no matter what it may bring.
