housing

Kitsap Community Resources (KCR) has a transitional housing program for families with children who are leaving domestic violence situations, single mothers and fathers who are homeless and people who are trying to get on their feet again. They allow people to stay in the housing program for one year and you are required to report to a case manager, go to budgeting classes and report your earnings every single month. I had been in this program for two months when I got notice to leave my home with my son. I immediately called my case manager and asked her while I was being told to leave. She stated to me that this is a "no cause" eviction. Now basically I am being forced to leave my home for no reason with no resources or finances to get into a place that is within my budget. I am in housing because I was leaving a domestic violence situation and I did not want my child to grow up seeing that. In my opinion, evicting someone just because they want to, basically forces them to go back to the situation that put them into housing to begin with instead of helping people get on their feet and helping them become more self-sufficient which is what the program was intended for.

It is your responsibility to not go back into the situation that you have come from-a child does not deserve to see or be a victim of domestic violence. Nor do you. The eviction hwvr does not make your situation easier. plz contact other local help
