14 year old injured in bicycle vs truck

(Poulsbo, Kitsap County) Poulsbo Fire Department Paramedics treated a 14-year old female for injuries sustained when she was struck by a vehicle while riding her bicycle on Clear Creek Road near Lakeness Road. The patient was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center for critical injuries. According to Kitsap County Sheriffs, it appears the cyclist was traveling northbound on Clear Creek and turned into the path of a northbound pickup driven by a 76 year old man. The driver of the Dodge Ram was uninjured. According to police, it does not appear alcohol or speed was an issue. The patient was not wearing a helmet. The roadway was closed for about 60-minutes while Sheriffs investigated the incident.
