I wish there were words to say how saddened I am by this tragedy. I've been following it from New Mexico and am keeping everyone in my thoughts. As a mother myself, every child is my child. My heart is breaking for the boys, the driver, the families.

My heart hurts so badly for you. You folks all stay strong, close and united, those two sweet angels are watching over you. May the wonderful memories that you families have of your boys give you comfort and get you through this. RIP boys.

Isn't there a law on the books stating that 16yo teens cannot have other passengers in their vehicle for a certain length of time? I wonder if the driver met that requirement. Not to be a downer, but I wonder if it was driver error. Horrible tragedy.

You need to read the article "Just curious". The driver is a STRAIGHT "A" student and has had her license over the 6 month period. Let's try to keep our comments positive for this family!! God be with them in there time of sorrow!!!

I just read on KING5 that they pulled the car and the baby was in it, not the older boy. My prayers are with you in hopes to find the other boy so you can move forward in your healing.

i'd just like to say, i'm very sorry this happened. and i agree with jeana, i know the driver, she went to school with me. and she's a very goodhearted person, and she's had her license for over 6 months. it wasnt her fault, my prayers to her family.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family! I am glad they were able to bring the car and the baby up today. I pray they find the 13 year old boy to bring closure. May god be with all the family and the driver during this difficult time of healing.

I can't tell you how this has been on my every thought. I live nearby, I can't imagine. When I try to imagine I am overcome with grief. I have a blonde haired, blue-eyed baby myself. I am so sorry. May the Lord ease your pain. All my love

"Just curious" raised a valid point. I HAD read two of the stories which didn't mention about the drivers status. Asking if she was fit to drive isn't trying to hurt the family. Just a reminder that 6 months of experience isn't much for teens.

You really should leave your comments to yourself. That was uncalled for. She had her license for over 6 months. Dont throw out false accusations. That is how rumors are started.
