I've always wanted to take a picture of a bumble bee up close, but was afraid of being stung. I was out in my garden one day checking out my lavendar. I just love lavendar. It's the most heavenly flower. The bumble bees were flying around, but not this one. He was just sitting there. He tiptoed around on the flower buds. I just couldn't help but try and get a picture of him. So I used my marco and got as close as I dared and snapped the shutter. I think he is so beautiful, especially with the Lavendar as a backdrop.
