Lightnings and ghosts??

Last night, trying to capture pics of lightnings, I started getting some pictures that looked more like ghosts! (Have some more, but I'm not attaching all of them).
Could that be possible??

My husband just came home from work and told me that he was smoking in the carport, so that it must have been the smoke going in my direction. Sorry about the misunderstanding. The lightning pic was no smoke though :) Thanks.

It's quite possible you captured lightning that was within the clouds or above the lowest cloud layer. The light from that is quite diffuse. It's a pretty effect. I lived in TX and have seen just about every type of lightning there is.

Yes, i was about to say b4 i read the posts, looks like cigarette smoke with a house in background lol
