Latin Pride Magazine celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month with the presentation of the most
prestigious 3rd Annual awards to the Latinos in the United States, “Latin Pride National Awards", and
this year inaugurating the modern "Lawrence Performing Arts Center" of Massachusetts.
Massachusetts. - An spectacular show full of Latino stars in the United States from all walks of life
and various professional careers will be celebrated on September 25 and will be transmitted to
millions of spectators through super Canal on October 5, 2008, where the athletes, actors, business
men and women, communicators, writers, models and stars of Latin American television will unite in
a bilingual award ceremony full of color and music.
This year the awards are dedicated to Education. The statistics from the Department of Education in
the United States indicate that the percentage of the youth that have dropped out of high school
has doubled and that the number of young girls that get pregnant has quadrupled.
A great array of Latin stars have been invited to attend, some of those include: La India, Gonzalo Rubalcaba,
Francisco Céspedes, Mirtha Medina, Rubén Blades, Ednita Nazario, Monchy & Alexandra,
Domenic Marte, Karina Pasian, Carlos & Alejandra el grupo Aljadaqui, Ricky Quiñones, Gio, Taxi
Amarillo, Panky & Los Manolos, Pavel Nuñez, Ninel Conde, Pica, Jadiel and many more.
The long list of invitees include the actors Manny Pérez, Paula Garcés, Cesar Évora, Carmen Salinas,
Sonya Smith, Gabriel Porras, Ivonne Montero, Alexandra Cheron and many others.
In addition, it includes the outstanding radio personalities Waldemaro Martinez, Ramiro Torres and
the famous athletes Sammy Sosa, Al Horford, and Charlie Villanueva. The television stars Milagros
Germán, Susie Castillo and the winning author of the famous Pulitzer prize award 2008 Junot Díaz,
the educator Peter Negroni, the entertainment business man Tony Mojena, the news reporter Arelis
Reynoso, business Women Liliana Gil, Olga Romero, educator Peter Negroni, and the ex miss
universe Amelia Vega .
