I have founded Conchetta House, a subsidized housing program for homeless single parent families who are working their way through college. Even though two years on unemployment and now with a part time job, I have been the the largest donor to the program, as a single parent myself with 4 boys at home. However, Conchetta House ( the non profit) is part of the Refresheverything project with Pepsi, and we are hoping to get enough votes to win $50K. With the money, we could house more families, and maintain the families that we currently have to graduation. The vote ends at the end of August and I would like to get the word out to have people vote. There are so many kids and families involved in this vote, that is is life changing!
We have lost our home ( landlord wanted to sell immediately), and I am working hard so that we can once again have a home for ourselves. I cannot continue to finance the project myself, and am hoping to win the money to continue the work in my Great Grandmother's name.
