Imagine waking up, walking out the door to go take a shower and you hear "LOOK OUT THE WINDOW!!" from a shrill voice you would have rather not have heard so early in the morn. Now I stumble over my half-awake feet to stumble back into the room, pull the cord on the blinds, and I'm blinded by the sheer whiteness invading the normally green and colorful view.
For the first snow storm of the season, and quite honestly the first good snow storm of the past couple years, I was shocked. I no longer remembered what I was going to do before noticing the snow.
That being said, it was only a matter of seconds before my fiance was up and snapping pictures of the freshly fallen snow on her BlackBerry and Uploading them to facebook, but to our surprise, Others had beat us to it! Even more surprising, less than 2 minutes after it finished uploading the pictures, we already had comments on them!
This just goes to show that the demeanor of an entire state can be changed by just the simple action of frozen precipitation. Have a safe and happy snow storm everyone.
Remember to prepare, Get water bottles, Get candles, Get your fireplace going, make sure you have the necessary supplies just in case you lose power, lose transportation, or for whatever reason, the stores close (which isn't that far-fetched of an idea at the moment).
Happy Holidays!
