Nimrod acquired a new friend

Home during stormy weather.

This Barred owl showed up in our yard just before the storm. It is not araid of us or the our St. Bernards. It comes within 15' of our deck. It watches from the carved bear at our ponds. We have seen it catch some mice that come up from the back of property to get water. It doesn't bother the squirrels when they come in to feed. We thought owls are nocturnal but this one is hunting during the day as well as at nightime. It rest in a 60' evergreen at the back of our yard.
