I was so touched by the number of people who responded to Teddy's story. I wanted to give everyone an update. This weekend Teddy met with a potential adopter who fell in love with him right away. She was ready to take him home with her that same day, and we had the opportunity to drop him off at his new home. We thought he would be a bit timid entering a new environment, but he immediately began to explore his new surroundings and even had a meeting with one of his new feline siblings (which went very well).

I have had a few updates from Teddy's new owner since this weekend, and he is settling in with his new family very nicely. His new owners are very knowledgeable about senior cats and are seem like they will be very attentive to him. He is living with two dogs and one cat which we were a bit concerned about since Teddy has never lived with other animals, but the introductions have gone very well! Best of all, he is getting all of the attention he could ever want, and he finally has the opportunity to give all the love to his new family that he has had building up inside of him. Teddy finally, at the age of 18, has his new, loving, forever home.

I want to thank you all again for your interest in Teddy's well-being. We had a number of people interested in adopting him, and I hope you will consider adopting another cat who needs a home (maybe another senior cat) as there are so many out there with a story like Teddy's.
