We hope you’ll join us at Seattle University from 7-10 pm on Saturday, October 9th. We'll be celebrating and exploring urban agriculture through the lens of the arts. This is an event designed for the community and organized by graduate students in the SU Arts Leadership MFA program.
The evening includes:
A screening of the provocative, Academy Award nominated documentary “The Garden”.
A community panel on Urban Agriculture led by author Amy Pennington and featuring representatives from Seattle Tilth, the Urban Land Army and the Seattle City Council.
We'll also dance and sing the night away with a participatory performance from the Seattle Fandango Project.
Artists have been inspired, nourished and motivated by food and agriculture for ages and we also use our art to give back to the community. In this spirit, The Garden was designed to showcase the work of artists, as they work to raise awareness about urban agriculture.
Advance Tickets are required and are available for less than $10. Any proceeds go to support the club, partnering artists and community organizations.
