The Boy Scouts of America is touring the country to give people an exciting, hands-on view of the organization’s 100 year history as well as the positive difference Scouting has made in the lives of millions of youth.
Rolling into Puyallup, Adventure Base 100 will unfold into a 10,000-square-foot campus of immersive Scout-related experiences: a ropes course, hands-on exhibits, digital interactives, a multi-sensory IMAX-like Go Dome, a stage, and much, much more! Adventure Base 100 will be at the Puyallup Fair from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Friday, September 17, Saturday, September 18, and Sunday, September 19.
Boy Scouting in the Puget Sound area dates back to 1916 when the first local troops were chartered. Today, the Scouting movement is very active in helping improve the quality of life in Western Washington – whether it’s helping do environmental cleanup at local parks or building new hiking trails on Mount Rainier. Famous local Scouts include U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke and former Governors Booth Gardner and Dan Evans, among others.
