SEATTLE - The Super Bowl champion Seahawks are planning a quiet, low-key return Monday afternoon followed by a huge victory parade through downtown Seattle on Wednesday.

The team says there will be no access for fans to see the team at the airport and there will be no staging areas for fans along 188th Street in SeaTac or outside the training facility in Renton.

The celebration will come on Wednesday with a parade through downtown Seattle that is expected to draw thousands.

The procession will start a 11 a.m. on Fourth Avenue south of Denny Way and will arrive at CenturyLink Field around 1:30 p.m.

“What a great day for the Seahawks and a great day for Seattle,” said Seattle Mayor Ed Murray, who was in New Jersey attending the game.

Residents are encouraged to carpool or take transit to the victory parade. Parking will be limited and traffic is likely to be slow.
