Would you like to see a beaver get a police escort?
OREGON CITY, Ore. - A beaver that seemed to have lost its way got a police escort late Thursday night.
Around 11:30 p.m., the Oregon City Police Department got a call that a beaver was walking across Southeast McLoughlin Boulevard at 14th Street, away from the Willamette River.
The beaver had somehow made it through traffic but seemed a bit disoriented and kept walking toward headlights.
When officers showed up, they tried to use a pole with a noose to catch the beaver, but they quickly figured out that the animal was pretty mellow and had no problem walking with them.
The beaver and officers took a leisurely 40-minute stroll to Abernethy Creek before parting ways.
