Parents always warn their kids that tattoos are forever, but with modern laser technology, that's not necessarily the case. Still, tattoo removal is painful and expensive -- as evidenced by Kelly Osbourne, who recently shared a painful-looking Instagram video of her own tattoo removal.
Osbourne, who has undergone something of a transformation since her days as a teenage reality star on "The Osbournes," has been open about the process of removing most of her 15 tattoos.
"Some still have a special meaning, like the matching ones my brother Jack and I have of each other's names, but I now feel like some were a mistake," wrote Osbourne in her weekly column in "Closer" magazine.
Obsbourne says that the tattoos, which she got as a teenager, were a method of "self-harm."
"I was miserable and I just went and got all these tattoos and I don't know why. One of them is a keyboard and I don't even know how to play a piano!"
The keyboard is the tattoo she's getting removed in this Instagram video, which Osbourne captioned "I did the crime I am now doing the time!"
The whole process will be a long one, but Osbourne says she's optimimistic, in spite of the pain.
"It will take several months, and while I'm not looking forward to the pain, I've heard it hurts less than getting the tattoo. I hope so!" wrote the daughter of metal legend Ozzy Osbourne.
