The most powerful couple in music (and fashion, and life) may be in some legal hot water for their recent, highly-publicized anniversay trip to Cuba. Because, while the two seemingly can do no wrong stateside, they're not immune to the embargo on travel to the communist country.

The two made headlines on Friday for their particularly fashionable looks and tourist activities around Havana, where their representation said they were visiting to celebrate their fifth year of marriage. Unfortunately, Americans are legally prohibited from traveling to Cuba, which has some Florida lawmakers probing whether or not Jay and Bey had the proper permits to make the pilgrimage.

Reuters reports that U.S. Representatives Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and Mario Diaz-Balart sent a letter of inquiry on Friday to establish "who had approved such travel."

The AP reported that the State Department was unaware of the trip. The two could face a hefty fine if found guilty or traveling to an embargoed country without the proper license.
