Did you hate the VMAs? Kelly Clarkson is right there with you

If you're one of the people who has been eye-rolling about all of the Video Music Award hullabaloo today, you're not alone; powerhouse crossover singer Kelly Clarkson was also not amused by the antics.

Clarkson, whose "People Like Us" was nominated for Best Music Video with a Social Message (an award that Seattle rapper Macklemore ultimately took home) wasn't present at last night's show -- she's on tour and was performing in Chicago with Maroon 5 -- so she caught some of the performances this morning. And she was not impressed.

"Just saw a couple performances from the VMA's last night. 2 words.... #pitchystrippers," Tweeted Clarkson.

The GRAMMY-award winning singer, who herself has performed at the VMAs, was tactful enough not to call out specific performers, but if she was watching the same recap videos as the rest of the country, it seems likely that either Miley Cyrus or Lady Gaga were the targets of her ultra-terse digital eyebrow-lift.
