SARA’s PUMPKIN CRANBERRY NUT BREAD

In a bowl mix together:
2 cups white flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
One-half teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons allspice or pumpkin pie spice
2 cups firm packed brown sugar
2 cups quick oats
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup craisins (or raisins)

In a separate bowl mix together:
2 cups canned pumpkin
2 whole eggs
One cube melted margarine
Two-thirds cup milk

Gently mix the wet ingredients into the dry ones.  Mix thoroughly.
Pour into two greased and floured bread loaf pans (I use Pyrex)
Sprinkle the tops with a generous dose of cinnamon-sugar---this is very important!!

Bake in a pre-heated 350 degree oven for up to one hour.  Check the bread after 35 minutes, then after 10 more minutes, then every 5 minutes covering with foil if necessary.  Check frequently for doneness with a toothpick.  The key to this recipe is not to overcook or undercook the bread.  It is delicious and moist if done to perfection!

SUMMER STYLE
Project Runway star Tim Gunn published his "5 Laws of Summer Style" list:
1.  Clean out your closet.  Chances are you own far more (clothes) than you will ever wear.  If you can't remember when you wore it last or it doesn't fit, donate it!
2.  Rethink footwear:  Stilettos feel too 'done' for summer; that's why ballet flats are perfect.  Rubber flip-flops force perfectly stable women to waddle uncontrollably.
3.  All those shorts in stores now . . . Save 'em for the weekend; they're not serious enough for work.
4.  In a season of small clothes, nothing looks worse than a tug-of-war, so quit yanking.  If it makes you that uneasy, it doesn't fit.
5.  Straighten up and fly right and you'll instantly look polished.  No matter how spectacular your outfit may appear, if you're bent, slouched or hunched over, your entire look is ruined.

MALE FASHION MISTAKES:
Back-packs (Men should not be using them!)
Too much cologne
Combovers (a no-no!)
Funky facial hair (stray nose hair..no soul patch..ear hair)
Wacky ties (stay conservative)
Clothes that don't fit
Too much jewelry
Ponytails
Stained clothes

WORDS WOMEN USE:
FINE: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.
FIVE MINUTES: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five Minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.
NOTHING: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.
GO AHEAD: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!
(LOUD SIGH): This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to #3 for the meaning of nothing.)
THAT'S OKAY: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.
THANKS: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or Faint. Just say you're welcome.
WHATEVER: Is a women's way of saying F#!$ YOU!
DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT ... I GOT IT: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking, "what's wrong", for the woman's response refer to #3.

Recipe for Detox Soup
2qt water or broth, carrots, celery, onions, fresh beets, spinach, tomatoes and herbs such as parsley, basil, etc... whatever herbs you like.

Cook until veggies are they way you like them (you might add the spinach at the very end because it cooks quick.) You can omit veggies you don't care for and put in ones you do like. Like maybe cauliflower, broccoli, artichokes, etc. The point is " organic veggie soup" with no starch veggies like potato's or peas.

GOOD LUCK!!!
