After seeing a YouTube video featuring the trick, actress Anna Kendrick decided to spend an afternoon learning to do it herself. Then, when she was cast in the musical film "Pitch Perfect," the directors urged her to put it to use. But what basically started as a party trick now has dozens of copycat videos, in addition to the actual music video for the song, which has close to 10,000,000 views on YouTube.
